The Kohelet Prize for Excellence in Progressive Jewish Education was a $36,000 prize awarded yearly to Jewish day school educators  from 2016-2019 and was a project of the Kohelet Foundation. The prize was awarded for demonstrating excellence in 6 categories representing core elements of progressive education, with winners chosen by a panel of independent judges.  The goal of this project was to enrich the field of Jewish education by encouraging educators to share the successes and instructive failures of their innovative approaches towards Jewish education.

All prize entries have been collected and stored in the Kohelet Prize Database, and are available for public use. We hope educators continue to benefit from this excellent resource.
