"The Torah Times" presents Torah events as "Breaking news" Happening right now! All the text and presentation are developed by Maimonides students, blending Torah knowledge with creativity, humor, writing, and graphic design.

Highly creative, The Torah Times engages students to find the soul /essential messages of the Torah that connects to life & current events today. Protagonists such as Abraham/Lot, Moses/Pharoh, or Aaron/Korach shed their ancient robes and venues to address current issues; Midrash/commentaries become our news outlets with the inside scoop. This personifies Rashi's Translation of the Shma: "Hayom Al Levaech" -not as an old chronicle, but as actual, new, and current.

  • Torah Times reads like a basic story for beginners, yet seasoned Torah scholars notice between the lines references to Midrash and Commentaries. Inquiring about lesser known details to get the full story, students yearn to learn more.
  • Torah Times jump-starts discussion by dramatizing Chazal and Midrash, ethical lessons & current social and political issues.
  • Great for Home & School, for Parents, Educators & Kids.

Maimonides students help develop Torah Times with their teacher; all brainstorm on how to best deliver reelvant Torah lessons. Students take pride in their work when an issue is ready for publication. Torah means Hora’ah teaching and in essence reaching; in order for the teaching to really impact the student, it has to be real. The Torah Times brings the learning down to the students level and ensures that the learning is relevant and true. The benefits are realized for the students creating the material, the teachers, and of course for the readership of all ages.
