Entry Narrative

There are a variety of tools and strategies that are used in order to deliver math instruction in a differentiated way. These include:

  1. Video lessons embedded into EdPuzzle. Students watch videos and takes notes prior to class, which allows them to preemptively explore math concepts. When they return to class, they have the opportunity to work in small-groups and receive direct instruction in order to further their understanding of the concept.
  2. Practice questions are colour-coded so that students can select the appropriate difficulty.
  3. Use of Google quizzes allows for students to self-assess their understanding as they progress through units.
  4. Collaborative, real-world application tasks that allow students to develop relevant life skills while still applying mathematical concepts.
